Logo

So I made up this logo, which you should have all seen by now (it's above). I must admit that I'm a bit disappointed by everyone not picking up on the imagery within it. Can you see me swimming along in the pool (without fins of course)? The line of text is like the line on the bottom of the pool. You can also turn it 90 degrees and I'll do depth! I also go up or down or left or right. If you still don't see it the spirals are bum & head. The koru design (spiral) in Maori (native New Zealanders') mythology represents new life and new beginnings: my freediving life. The motif also provokes images of water like small pools of disturbance in a quite pool. I was hoping it would be clearer and you wouldn't need the explanation!!!

I like the logo! Subtle yet meaningful ...

Hope you are well anyway! And how exciting about the Bahamas ...

Kathryn, I'm sorry but I did not see you swimming. In fact, I did not see the line until I read the explanation. What I did see in the beginning was a Maori design. And that stands for your home. So I think you did a great job on the design. It is quite original and easy to remember. When will I have a chance to win a t-shirt with it printed on...? Take care... Martin

Hmm, t-shirts, I think I'd better hurry up and print my fin and my own shirt first! We're looking at selling some shirts as a fundraiser, but again I have to hurry up and do something about it! Too busy training and sleeping (most important part of my regime is sleep now). I think it's going to look better vertical on singlets. I'll post a photo or two once they're done.

Nice to hear from you Martin. Hope your training is going well. We managed to find the fancy aquarium lift in Berlin quite randomly while walking past: I happened to remember that there was something special about the Radisson. We didn't wait in the huge line to go up though. Have you managed to get in the water there yet? I bet if this sport had a higher profile they wouldn't hesitate...

The AquaDome, yeah... thats quite a story... Every time I try I get a different answere. And the answeres are getting more and more stupid. After quesstions about space and sterility of our equipment they are now most concerned about the fishies being frightened when a diver enters the water that they "... do not know."
I have the feeling I have not yet been talking to the right people. Maybe I should find somebody that is not connected to the fish on such a emotional level.
After all, how long dose a fish remember what a diver looks like?
I would even help cleening the tank... no problem.
